In a major step forward for the company, Energycore has won RMIT University’s prestigious 2008 Business Plan Competition and was awarded $35,000 in prizes at the awards ceremony last night.

EnergyCore was awarded the $25,000 RMIT University first prize and also received a $10,000 award sponsored by The LiTMUS Group, consultants to the energy industry.

It is hoped that this award will add momentum to Energycore’s efforts in promoting its innovative geothermal technology throughout Australia.

Energycore’s Scientific Director Dr. Donald Payne is currently on his way to Europe to attend a week-long meeting with top physicists from around the world.  Dr. Payne is presenting the work of scientists at The University of Melbourne.  Energycore wishes him luck in this significant meeting.

As chair of the Australian Geothermal Energy Association’s sub-comitee for Geothermal Heat Pumps, Dr. Payne recently met with Federal Energy Minister Martin Ferguson.

Energycore is proud to announce that their Scientific Director Dr. Donald Payne has received a special invitation to attend the 58th meeting of Nobel Laureates in Lindau, Germany. Based on his respected research, Dr. Payne has been invited to attend this special week long meeting with Nobel Laureates and top fellow researchers from around the world. Energycore congratulates Dr. Payne on this marvelous achievement.
